Termite Control Considerations in Anthem
Over 20 Years of Termite Experience Behind Every Inspection
Suspected termite activity calls for a close look at the structure before treatment is recommended. At Arizona Termite Specialists, termite control is our sole focus, and our recommendations begin with a detailed property inspection.
We bring more than 20 years of field experience and have treated thousands of homes across the Phoenix area. Jeremy Youngquist alone has inspected more than 10,000 homes. Our licensed and insured technicians are trained specifically to identify termite activity, including evidence concealed behind walls, below flooring, or in other hidden areas.

What Anthem Homeowners Can Expect from a Termite Inspection
A termite inspection evaluates accessible areas where termites may enter, travel, feed, or damage structural materials. We examine the interior and exterior, including hidden spaces that may contain evidence of activity. Our findings determine whether treatment, ongoing monitoring, or continued observation is appropriate.
Our inspection-led process includes:
- Property evaluation: We inspect accessible areas inside and outside the structure for termite activity, visible damage, and conditions that warrant attention.
- Clear findings: We explain what we observed and provide honest recommendations based on the property’s needs.
- Targeted treatment: When treatment is appropriate, we select an option suited to the inspection findings.
- Continued communication: We keep you informed from the initial consultation through treatment completion and provide ongoing monitoring when applicable.
Visible signs alone can’t confirm the termite species or the extent of an infestation, which is why a professional evaluation comes before a treatment recommendation.
Termite Treatment Products & What to Expect at Home
Our treatment options include Termidor® and Fuse. The appropriate product depends on the inspection findings and application context. Both contain Fipronil, an active ingredient used in professional termite treatments.
Termidor® & Fuse Treatment Options
We use Termidor® to address active termite infestations. Its transfer effect allows exposed termites to carry the active ingredient to other termites, a process that can take up to three months to reach full effect.
When applied as an in-ground Fipronil treatment, protection can last up to a decade. Actual longevity depends on the product, application, site conditions, and whether the treated area is disturbed.
Fuse combines Fipronil with Imidacloprid in a dual-active formula for ongoing perimeter protection. A Fuse perimeter treatment against subterranean termites can last up to eight years when applied in the documented application context.
No Tenting or Fumigation
Our termite treatments don’t involve tenting or fumigation. You don’t need to vacate the property, board pets, move plants, or take special steps to protect food during treatment. Before work begins, we explain the selected product and what to expect.
Signs of Subterranean & Drywood Termites
Termite swarmers, mud tubes, and damaged wood all warrant a professional inspection. These signs can indicate activity, but they don’t confirm the species or reveal the full extent of an infestation.
Termite types that may require attention include:
- Subterranean termites: These termites travel through soil and may build mud tubes between the ground and a structure. The Desert Subterranean Termite, also known as Heterotermes aureus, is the most common and destructive termite species we identify in the Phoenix metro area.
- Drywood termites: These termites live inside dry wood and don’t require contact with soil. We inspect for and address drywood termite activity as well.
Prompt inspection matters because homeowners insurance typically doesn’t cover termite damage. Confirming whether activity is present can help you act before additional structural materials are affected.
