Termite inspection and treatment are all we do. At Arizona Termite Specialists, our licensed, insured team draws on more than 20 years of industry experience and thousands of completed home treatments to identify termite activity and recommend an appropriate response.

Complete Termite Inspections, Inside & Out
Termite activity can remain concealed in wall cavities and other spaces outside a homeowner’s daily view. A mud tube on a foundation or another structural surface is one visible sign of soil-based termite activity, but its absence doesn’t replace a complete inspection.
A complete inspection looks beyond visible evidence to interior hiding places and exterior conditions that can shape the treatment recommendation.
A thorough termite inspection may include:
- Interior areas: Wall cavities, closets, and spaces beneath sinks and bathtubs
- Structural surfaces: Foundations and other locations where mud tubes may appear
- Exterior conditions: Wood-to-soil contact, drainage patterns, and grading issues
Monitoring a Home During Extended Absences
Activity can go unnoticed when a property remains vacant for an extended period. Seasonal home monitoring should include checking accessible interior and exterior areas after a long absence and arranging an inspection when something looks different.
We advise against accepting a termite price over the phone or relying on a quote issued without an interior inspection. Once we’ve evaluated the property, we provide a free, no-obligation estimate based on the actual findings.
Arizona Termite Types & Treatment Options
Arizona homes face two primary termite types: subterranean termites and drywood termites. The first move between the soil and a structure; the second live within dry wood. The termite type and conditions documented during inspection determine the recommended treatment approach.
We identify the Desert Subterranean Termite, Heterotermes aureus, as the most common and destructive termite species in the Phoenix metro area. Because it travels from the soil into structures, an inspection must account for visible evidence and exterior conditions connected to its activity.
Termidor® & Fuse Treatments
We use Termidor®, which contains Fipronil, and Fuse, a dual-active formula containing Fipronil and Imidacloprid. Termidor® works through a transfer effect: exposed termites carry Fipronil back to the colony. The treatment can take up to three months to reach its full effect.
In-ground Fipronil treatment can remain effective for up to a decade. Fuse perimeter protection against this termite type can last up to eight years. Actual product selection depends on the inspection findings and property conditions.
Our treatments don’t require tenting or fumigation. Homeowners don’t need to:
- Vacate the property
- Board pets
- Move plants
- Protect food during treatment
Our Termite Inspection, Treatment & Monitoring Process
We begin by evaluating the property and identifying the type and location of termite activity. We then explain the findings and recommend a targeted treatment plan, followed by ongoing monitoring when appropriate.
Treatment timing depends on the property and selected method, so we don’t apply a fixed schedule to every home. From the initial consultation through treatment completion, we provide clear recommendations and practical information about the work being performed.
