Termite Control in Youngtown

Termite-Focused Inspections Backed by Field Experience

Termite control is the sole focus of our work. At Arizona Termite Specialists, founders Jeremy Youngquist and Brad Deuser have built our approach around detailed inspections, accurate identification, and treatment plans tailored to each property.

Jeremy brings 20 years of termite-industry experience and has inspected more than 10,000 homes. We have completed thousands of termite inspections and treatments, and our licensed, insured team is trained to perform both.

Call (602) 900-9799 to discuss your concerns, confirm service availability for your Youngtown property, and request an inspection.

What a Termite Inspection in Youngtown Should Cover

A thorough inspection looks for active termite evidence, potential access routes, and property conditions that may require attention before treatment. We provide inspections, targeted treatments, and ongoing monitoring for homeowners, rental-property owners, and property managers.

Our inspections cover areas where activity can remain concealed:

  • Interior areas: We check wall cavities, areas beneath bathtubs and sinks, closets, and other spaces where visible evidence may be limited.
  • Foundations: We examine accessible foundation areas for mud tubes and other signs of termite movement.
  • Exterior conditions: We assess wood-to-soil contact, drainage concerns, and moisture issues around the property.
  • Structural openings: We look for evidence around cracks and utility penetrations where termites may reach the structure.

From Property Evaluation to Follow-Up Monitoring

We evaluate the property before preparing a customized treatment plan. We then explain our findings and recommendations in plain language, including what we found and why we recommend a particular approach.

The service process follows a clear sequence:

  • Property Inspection: We examine interior and exterior areas for evidence of activity, access routes, and relevant property conditions.
  • Estimate Review: We prepare recommendations after seeing the property. We don’t provide a firm treatment price by phone before an inspection.
  • Treatment Scheduling: After the evaluation, we schedule treatment and provide preparation guidance.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Follow-up monitoring is available to check the property for further signs of activity.

This process applies to owner-occupied homes and rental properties. Property managers can use the findings to identify affected areas and review the recommended treatment plan.

Termidor® & Fuse Termite Treatments

We use Termidor® for active termite infestations. Its active ingredient is Fipronil, which produces a transfer effect: exposed termites can carry the material to other termites. Termidor® can take up to three months to reach its full effect.

Jeremy Youngquist has traveled with BASF, the manufacturer of Termidor®. BASF has used his feedback on treatment methods for Arizona termites, and that experience informs our approach to regional field conditions.

Perimeter Protection with Fuse

Fuse contains Fipronil and Imidacloprid. It’s injected into the soil to provide ongoing perimeter protection around the treated structure. We recommend a treatment only after evaluating the property and locating the termite evidence.

Household Preparation

Our treatments don’t require tenting or fumigation, which keeps household preparation straightforward.

These treatments don’t require you to:

  • Vacate your home during service.
  • Board your pets elsewhere.
  • Move plants away from the property.
  • Take special steps to protect stored food.

Signs of Subterranean Termites Around Youngtown Properties

Youngtown sits within the northwest Phoenix metro area, where termite exposure reflects the broader conditions found across the Valley. About 80% of termite infestations in the Phoenix Valley are attributed to soil-dwelling species, making underground activity an important focus during an inspection.

These termites live in soil, while drywood termites live within wooden structures. Heterotermes aureus, commonly called the desert subterranean termite, lives underground and constructs mud tubes to reach wood above ground.

Signs that warrant a closer inspection include:

  • Foundation mud tubes: Narrow earthen tubes may appear along the foundation where termites travel between soil and wood.
  • Activity near openings: Earthen tubes may develop in concrete-floor cracks or around pipe and duct openings.
  • Hollow-sounding wood: Wood that sounds hollow when tapped may indicate internal termite damage.

Visible tubes aren’t the only reason to arrange an evaluation. Evidence can also appear beneath sinks, inside closets, or around concealed wall areas. An inspection can determine whether the signs indicate an active infestation and where treatment should be directed.
